Sophie describes herself as “part-time teacher, part-time artist” who grew up on a cattle and cropping property outside Millmerran, Queensland. Her upbringing in rural Australia heavily influences her art — she paints scenes and subjects connected to farm life, landscapes, rustic equipment, flowers and everyday domestic rural settings. As of her website, she works from her studio, balancing teaching as her primary job.
