'Clippings' - It was not often she had grand arrangements on her table. There were alway s other objects taking that space. One day a bunch arrived a rare and welcome delivery. It was from a secret admirer. She blushed to know there was such a thing, an admirer let alone a secret one. How thrilling. She took them from their frothy wrapping and arranged them in the vase dusted for the purpose.
Her secateurs, reserved for outdoor work, were brought into commission. When the few branchlets fell or snapped off she gathered them up for other tiny arrangements. More admiring in other rooms.
About Robyn: The story telling artist.
I am a maker; I get restless if I don't make something and I believe, someone, somewhere is making everything, so why can't l
I didn't do art at school; didn't believe I had that talent. I learned this story was not true in the early 1990's and have been creating art ever since.
In 2019I started a 100-day project which took my art practice to a new level of discipline and meant I had to show up every day with purpose. I enjoy humble subjects, simple items and things from our homes, and the world. In 2020 I started telling the story. In 2023 there came a book. My passion is storytelling through words and images.
